Iron Maiden score their highest charting live album in 27 years with 'Nights of the Dead' / Planet Rock

"Iron Maiden have landed their highest charting live album in almost three decades with ‘Nights Of The Dead, Legacy Of The Beast: Live In Mexico City.’

‘Nights of the Dead...’ debuted at Number 7 on the Official UK Album Chart on Friday night (27th November) and became Iron Maiden's highest live album chart entry since ‘A Real Live One’, which peaked at Number 3 in 1993.

Only Iron Maiden’s seminal live record ‘Live After Death’ has charted higher – it reached number two in the UK in October 1985."

I love it. Pretty much all the songs sound different this time round. The first solo on Number of the Beast is totally different to the album version for instance.

I really hope they release a video of it because it really was up there with the World Slavery Tour for theatrics, there’s some full HD videos on YouTube, but I’d prefer a DVD/BD, definitely the best out of the three times I’ve seen them

Might have to come out of concert retirement for this one.

It's at Manchester Apollo, so not sure of the equivalent in Dublin for a 2000-2500 venue, but the last tour was at a smaller 1k venue in the UK.

I've seen Carcass before, but only once, and it was a homecoming gig in Liverpool on the Heartwork tour, they were good, as you would expect! Would be good if Mike Amott played a song with Carcass.

The Evil That Men Do has some rhythm guitar (?) that i've definitely never heard previously.

I was thinking that. Arch Enemy and Carcass are pretty much the same band.

That might be Janick, it's like they just set a lunatic on the stage with a guitar and said go for it No band needs three guitars...
