Merry Metal Xmas

(I do prefer Tarja's version but it's not METAL)

My favourite non traditional Christmas song.

Lacuna Coil - Naughty Christmas

I post this at least three times each December.

This isn't metal either but it's far too cool for the general public.

Oliver Palotai & Simone Simons - This is Halloween

If either Kamelot or Epica sounded like this i'd be well into them.

Had a first listen to the remastered Somewhere in Time today. It was a present from me to me so saved it until Christmas Day.

I'm really impressed. It sounds phenomenal to me. it's not massively different to the 98 remaster but there are differences when you compare them and this new one is a hell of a lot punchier in my opinion. I'm sure Deja Vu is a faster song this time round.

There's no point posting a song because streaming is just streaming, you need the vinyl or cd to best listen.

I'll have to get Seventh Son, Brave New World, Virtual XI, Iron Maiden, Killers and Number of the Beast now.

Have the rest of you already got these remasters already?

I've got some of them but as I'd only just finished re-buying all of the '98 remasters just before the 2015 remasters were announced I didn't bother. I picked up Live After Death and Rock in Rio though.

Haha!

The 98 releases will go into my car listening pile which is cool!

It will make a change to listen to an actual album rather than a best of which i normally have in the car.

FYI i don't actually listen to my main collection in the car so as not to scratch them.

Listed at number 3 on the Parents Music Resource Center's "Filthy Fifteen", a list of 15 songs the organization found most objectionable. PMRC co-founder Tipper Gore stated the song was about oral sex at gunpoint
