I'm with you there too, but I do think that The Greatest Show On Earth is one of the best things they've ever done, it's fantastic, especially the 'We were here' refrain.

The Nightwish response was very short and to the point. More about touring than Marko's departure.

"Marko`s resignation has left us with some difficult decisions and choices to be made. After much thought and consideration, we have, in mutual understanding, decided to perform the upcoming 'Human. :II: Nature. -world tour' as planned, but with a session bass player.

The live line-up will be announced at a later date.

We respect Marko`s decision and wish him all the very best. We will not comment any further."

As for the upcoming tour, I would imagine the UK concerts in May will be cancelled yet again!

Out next week on dvd

Schemers

Quote:
Dave Mclean co-writes and directs this biographical comedy set in Dundee in the 1970s. After a broken leg ends his fledgling football career, Dave (Conor Berry) hopes to impress student nurse Shona (Tara Lee) by organising an impromptu disco. With the last-minute event hailed as a success, Dave and his friends Scot and John (Sean Connor and Grant Robert Keelan) plan a series of bigger gigs that ultimately brings heavy metal band Iron Maiden to Dundee.
HMV are running a promotion to win a signed movie poster, Iron Maiden vinyl and t-shirt if anyone's interested.

I'm pretty sure the band aren't in it but going off the cast list a certain Rod Smallwood is.

Sounds good, that's the kind of easy viewing I like to watch every now and then

That's even more interesting then! Not listened to Placebo for ages, I think I'll put some on now, when their debut album came out it was on heavy rotation for a long time.

Therion - Tuonela

Leviathan (2021)

I like Therion sometimes. Like Sirenia they never stick with the same vocalists for longer than five minutes.

This i do like. Nice female voice as well as a certain former Nightwish singer.

Therion - Flesh of the Gods

Deggial (2000)

My fave Therion song. Good riffing although it probably has too much of a Blind Guardian sound to it due to Hansi Kürsch being the guest vocalist.

This was the song that actually got me into liking early Blind Guardian.

Wonder what will happen to Demons and Wizards and Iced Earth now Jon Schaffer was arrested and about to be tried for storming the US capitol the other week. He ebded up on the FBI's most wanted list. The judge even denied him bail once he turned himself in following his arrest warrant. Both bands have been dropped by Century Media.

I'm currently listening to Primal Fear's Metal is Forever The Best of Primal Fear album from 2006, or more specifically the nine track cd - Metal Classics - that comes with it.

Don't know if anyone else likes Primal Fear? Personally i really like them even though i don't own half as many of their albums as i should. Like Hammerfall and Accept, they don't make poor records

Anyway, here's their cover of Judas Priest's Metal Gods, sounding more like Priest than Priest do.
