Wacken 2023 sells out in 5 hours after Iron Maiden announced as headliners / Planet Rock

"Wacken Open Air (W:O:A) sold out its full allocation of 80,000 tickets in a record five hours over the weekend.

Tickets for the event went on sale at 8pm on Sunday 7 August and all tickets on open sale were snapped up.

Wacken promoter Thomas Jensen commented: “A sold out festival in that amount of time – unbelievable!"
