The actual story that came out several days ago says Mars is now 71 and is suffering more and more from Ankylosing spondylitis on his spine. Basically he can barely move.

Seeing as their next shows are now next year it's only fair i guess to see how Mars will be several months from now and John 5 will step in if need be on stage. Ozzy / Sabbath drummer Tommy Clufetos stood in for shows after Tommy Lee broke ribs this summer so it's not unusual with Motley.

Still why let some bullshit get in the way of the truth.

The Iron Maiden Spitfire suffered an unfortunate 'crash' during a concert at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts on October 17th!

Going to be another Maiden calendar for me this year. 12 cracking new Eddie artworks. Here's just one example.

No wonder album sales are low when bands such as Alter Bridge and Skid Row are charging £13 and £14 for their new cd's. Only the usual standard cd as well, nothing special about them.

Thanks Spinefarm and Ear Music.

Looks like it's only the touring side of things that he is giving up

Mötley Crüe's Mick Mars officially retires from touring / Classic Rock

It's official: John 5 confirmed as new Mötley Crüe touring guitarist / Classic Rock

The statement from the band:
"While change is never easy, we accept Mick's decision to retire from the band due to the challenges with his health. We have watched Mick manage his Ankylosing Spondylitis for decades and he has always managed it with utmost courage and grace.

"To say 'enough is enough' is the ultimate act of courage. Mick's sound helped define Mötley Crüe from the minute he plugged in his guitar at our very first rehearsal together. The rest, as they say, is history. We'll continue to honour his musical legacy.

"We will carry out Mick's wish and continue to tour the world as planned in 2023. No doubt will it take an absolutely outstanding musician to fill Mick's shoes so we are grateful that our good friend, John 5 has agreed to come on board and join us moving forward. We'll see all you Crüeheads out on the road!"

I saw that earlier on social media. She's already had surgery to remove the tumour and is confident of a full recovery. She's talking about being well enough for the Nightwish tour which starts in 4 weeks!

I wish her a speedy and full recovery!
