Ozzy Osbourne being interviewed by SiriusXM

There's not going to be any tour next year. I'd put money on it.

France' Hellfest proves once again that it's the best metal festival out there.

Apologies for the huge image. They shouldn't have created such a huge line up.

Iron Maiden honoured by Royal Mail with set of 12 special stamps / Planet Rock

"Heavy metal titans Iron Maiden are being honoured by Royal Mail with a set of 12 special stamps.

Following the hallowed footsteps of The Beatles in 2007, Pink Floyd in 2016, Queen in 2020, and The Rolling Stones in 2022, Iron Maiden have become only the fifth British band to feature in a dedicated Royal Mail stamp set.

Eight of the 12 stamps feature photographs of Iron Maiden in their imperious live glory at international concerts dating from May 1983 on the World Piece Tour through to August 2018 on the Legacy of the Beast Tour.

A further four stamps celebrate Iron Maiden’s beloved mascot Eddie on singles and album covers, while the backdrop of the set’s miniature sheet is taken from Iron Maiden’s first official live album, ‘Live After Death’ (1985).

The 12 Iron Maiden stamps are available to pre-order ahead of their release on Thursday 12th January 2023. A presentation pack containing all 12 stamps costs £17.70.

Prices range from 30p for an Eddie envelope through to £199.99 for platinum-layered Eddie Stamp Sheet stamps packaged in an Iron Maiden flight case."

Cate Blanchett comes across more patronising than curious though which isn’t nice. Love the idea of Margot at a Slipknot concert haha.

Yeah she does. Considering she was in the six most metal films you could ever get you'd think she'd know better.

Well, I think we all *knew* this was coming!

Ozzy Osbourne retires from touring and cancels UK & Ireland tour with Judas Priest / Planet Rock

Ozzy’s full statement:
"This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine.

My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.

I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required. Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really ****S ME UP, more than you will ever know.

Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way. My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.

I want to thank my family……my band…….my crew……my longtime friends, Judas Priest and of course, my fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have."

Finally get a refund after 5 years. Sad I'm not getting to see Priest tho.

You never know, Priest might use the dates to headline themselves. Get a decent sized support* and it would be a great gig.

A band like Anthrax, Sepultura or Kreator for example.
