Yeah he was in a coma for awhile when they were trying to remove the tissue and in danger of loosing his arm. Metal has lost a real hero as you said it will never be the same and Slayer will never be the same if they continue at all. |
I bet Gary Holt replaces him permanently if they do carry on |
Jeff Hanneman wrote Angel of Death. Probably the greatest thrash song ever.:clap::rockon::rockon: That is all. |
And it contains one of my favourite guitar riffs too, one I was most pleased about nailing properly years ago  Kerry King playing angel of death riff - YouTube |
One of my fondest memories is seeing Slayer live at the Portsmouth Guildhall many years ago They were intense! Fast and loud, but just the right side of being nothing but noise |
****ing horrible news... Jeff wasn't the reason I picked up the guitar in the first place, but he was the reason I endeavoured to play it fast and loud  bet KK's regretting slagging him off to any interviewer that would listen for the past two years... |

Very sad news about Jeff, he was too young to die - Slayer must be gutted, metal wont be the same again :( |
Is Jeff Hanneman dead? That's what I'm hearing. Hope its not true:( |
It is true, he passed away yesterday aged 49 :( |
