There was also rumours that Black Sabbath would tour with Judas Priest, Motorhead and Iron Maiden. Now that would be incredible. Though I think it's probably just internet rumours

And another thing, Maiden wouldn't tour with Sabbath after the egging etc. incident from Ozzfest 2005 and the resulting spat with Sharon Osbourne

Very true also. Daaaamnit! That wouldve been the greatest festival of ALL TIME, EVER! Especially if we were somehow able to resurect Ronnie for some Dio metal goodness.

Some news from the Classic Rock mag website.

Just to prove Metallica’s enduring status as one of the biggest acts in music, it’s now been officially confirmed that The Black Album is the biggest seller in America over the past 20 years.
Since 1991, it has sold 15,735,000 copies. This is since the introduction of the electronic Soundscan system to more accurately monitor sales in the States.

In total, the band have sold 53,170,000 copies of all their albums since 91. That makes them the fourth biggest artist of the Soundscan era, behind Garth Brooks, The Beatles and Mariah Carey.

Agreed

I would 'like' your post, but under the circumstances, it might be bad taste
