On the subject of Thrash, There's loads of Bands that were just as good as Anthrax or Testament.

I've got all of the above releases on vinyl.

Exodus were so close to breaking through and The Toxic Waltz is a great album, and track. Forbidden were also excellent but Nuclear Assault didn't really have the songs in my opinion.

What separated the big 4 was they consistently seemed to produce very good albums rather than being a bit patchy in their releases or allowing internal fighting to lead to self destruction.

I would love you to be right

Our pub is a few miles away from the Castle Donington site, and seeing the kind of customers we got for the 2013 festival, I think they are more to see the younger bands, instead of a 'band of old fogeys'

For the record, I love Status Quo, and feel honoured to have seen them at the very last indoor show they played, in Southampton 1984, when they played their 'end of the road' tour!

Its not the fact they are ageing rockers Suze. Its the fact they have the songs to make a large field of people jump up and down in unison. Sunday is always headlined by a classic band. This year its Aerosmith. Def Leppard, Whitesnake etc have always gone down a storm. Plus its a known fact that Andy Copping always tries to book Bon Jovi.

Only Bonzo did it the right way.

We sound check to it and I've gotta say, our drummer pulls it off pretty well

The exception proves the rule. In almost 15 years of drumming, I never managed to pull it off.
