Which ones are you thinking of picking up BoF?

I might be able to advise.

"Details about The Endless River, the new Pink Floyd album from David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason, were revealed today as the album artwork appeared on buildings in ten international cities, including an eight metre lit installation on London’s South Bank.

The album will be released on 10th November through Parlophone Records and is produced by David Gilmour, Phil Manzanera, Youth and Andy Jackson.

David Gilmour said:

“The Endless River has as its starting point the music that came from the 1993 Division Bell sessions. We listened to over 20 hours of the three of us playing together and selected the music we wanted to work on for the new album.

"Over the last year we've added new parts, re-recorded others and generally harnessed studio technology to make a 21st century Pink Floyd album. With Rick gone, and with him the chance of ever doing it again, it feels right that these revisited and reworked tracks should be made available as part of our repertoire.”

Nick Mason added:

“The Endless River is a tribute to Rick. I think this record is a good way of recognizing a lot of what he does and how his playing was at the heart of the Pink Floyd sound. Listening back to the sessions, it really brought home to me what a special player he was.”

The Endless River is mainly an instrumental album across ‘four sides’ with one song, ‘Louder Than Words’ with new lyrics by Polly Samson.

As stated in my original post regarding this, it probably shouldn't belong here

Mind you, have you heard this:

Pink Floyd in the punk and hardcore thread would have been even more incongruent!!!!

Just what we need....instrumentals that weren't deemed good enough for The Division Bell.

Make a proper album or don't bother. Or is it a case of PF fans will buy anything and the coffers are drying up as we don't make music or tour anymore.

Cannibal Corpse, Ihsahn and Sepultura have been added to the bill for next year's Bloodstock Festival.
This makes the confirmed lineup so far:
Ihsahn*, Opeth, Within Temptation, Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse*
(* - Only UK show of 2015)

Not much for my tastes so far, as the only bands I really like on that list are Opeth and Cannibal Corpse, and I've seen both before (even fell asleep watching Opeth once!). But Bloodstock are usually pretty good for booking power metal and thrash metal, so here's hoping we see some of that in the coming months. They've got nearly a year to go anyway.
Out of interest, has anyone here been to Bloodstock? I've been 4 times myself. I'd even go as far as saying it's my favourite festival (been to Wacken and Hellfest too, but I prefer Bloodstock's small, community atmosphere).

Like the video, but don't think the song is that special. IMO they've made better.
