I was never really a fan of 'Big in America' U2 I love the first 3 albums though War is particularly good.

I'm glad i wasn't there!

Side one is timeless and as good as any rock album can be, but side two, well, that's all a bit dull really.
I've never managed to see the attraction of U2. Bono's always been a wee bit too far up his own arse for my liking. Vertigo is a good song, but that's mainly down to the Edges guitar playing.

I used to love U2, even dragged the ex wife to see them in 2001, but nowadays they haven't done anything remotely on the same level as earlier stuff like Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby etc.

Still rather listen to them than ****ing Coldplay!

Speed of sound is the ONLY Coldplay song that I've ever enjoyed.

You probably love them. We all know your mind is a bit hazy.

The first 3 albums weren't bad (only ones I own), after that I've no interest whatsoever.

These days I tend to listen to more heavier stuff, I'm listening to a lot of old school Black Metal at the minute

I agree with this, albums 2 and 3 are actually pretty damn good, album one is just good they started going a bit up their own arse after that though with Viva la Vida onwards. Funnily, the same with U2

Generally the more recent U2 albums have had some cracking songs amidst all the MOR stuff. - Beautiful Day, Elevation, Vertigo, City of Blinding Light. I still haven't listened to No Line on the Horizon even though i bought it last year at a charity shop.

I do like those U2 songs actually, I think that they are viable as a 'singles' band and the albums tracks a bit rubbish. I thought Achtung Baby was OK though.

Achtung Baby is excellent in my opinion. Easily their best album.
