She’s definitely grown up!

Off to see B-52s tonight in Manchester. I can’t wait, I’m not old enough to remember them kick starting a new wave scene but I have loved them ever since Love Shack and Shiny Happy People when I was 12 and 13!

They’re retiring after this tour, Kate is 71 now, but I’m more than sure they’re going to give everyone an amazing goodbye.

Went last night into Aberdeen to see The Cult playing Sonic Temple, now whilst I was never the biggest of their fans, a mate wanted some company and I got to see some live music as it's been long enough. The venue we went to had been revamped somewhat, all bright & shiny etc. We ended going upstairs as mate hadn't noticed they were seated tickets. Suited me fine, even if going to the bog was a bit of a palaver . Ahem.
The support act Piston ... would do well at some rock festival as they certainly went for it in a rockist stylee ahem.
To be fair, I tried to be fair about them. But then they covered Proud Mary.
Along with Mustang Sally, it makes me want to kill all humans.

Get on with it!!!

Would love to know who picked the interim music, as basically Krautrock and Massive Attack. Ahem.

To be brutally honest, I disliked the fact they went all rawk. But they put on a decent show even if Astbury still doesn't know what to do with himself on stage half the time
And they did Spiritwalker. Which made me happy.

Went to see AC/DC tribute band DIRTY/DC last night.
That was bloody good. They got everything off just right. Played for two hours.
Give them a go if they play anywhere near you.

I’m supporting an AC/DC tribute band tonight called Dirty Deeds, they’re really good, they have a singer that does all the Bon Scott era songs and a singer that does the Brian Johnson stuff, can’t wait

Machine Head were absolutely amazing last night, we had a nightmare getting there from Halifax though, the first train we were getting came early so we missed it by about 30 seconds, the next one turned up 25 minutes late and because of a fault they kicked everyone off in Rochdale so we had to get a taxi to Manchester and ended up getting into the venue as they were just finishing off the first song! But, it was worth all the hassle because after we went to the after show party at Satan’s Hollow in Manchester City centre and Logan, Chris & Jared waltzed in for a beer so we got to chat with them before spending £45 in a taxi back to Halifax! I literally lost my shit when the did a medley of cover songs including Creeping Death and Sanitarium by Metallica and South of Heaven and Raining Blood by Slayer amongst others

I only took one pic during the gig because I was enjoying it so much that I didn’t feel the need to have my phone out all night
