Taking my eldest son to his first concert in Manchester tonight for his birthday at the end of the month-Imagine Dragons.

Not really my cuppa tea, but he loves them and the best part is, he has no idea about it, I'm gonna give him his ticket when he gets home from school this afternoon.
Can't wait to see his face light up, because he'd been asking me to take him and I've been telling him it was sold out and I couldn't afford tickets #bestdadever

Poor Mrs troggi is having to put up with a Judas Priest gig next Monday. We-ll, maybe she'll enjoy it. Okay, I admit it, she demanded I buy the tickets. We're both looking forward to it and it'll be the first time I've seen 'em since the 70s, Pearl's a JP virgin so it'll be a great night!

Well, what can I say? I don't know how they did it but they made a provincial hall, like the Guildhall here in Portsmouth, look and feel massive! I hadn't seen Judas Priest for ages and I was immediately transported back to the skinny, long-haired, headbanger that I used to be (with a few kilos added, very short hair and definitely NO headbanging)!

The set included some popular fan faves like; "Living After Midnight", "Turbo Lover", and "Breakin' the Law". I would have loved a quick blast of "The Ripper" but we can't always have what we want, can we? When my eardrums regain their former shape and flexibility I'll find it on You Tube and watch and listen to my heart's content

If you ever get a chance to see the rock gods that are Judas Priest DO IT! They've been doing what they do for over forty years and they don't seem to be slowing down! As the younger, less eloquent troggi observed on first seeing JP "what! Y'll 'ave t' speak up! Shit, that w' loud!"

Electric six retweeted this fan captured picture from their recent Oran Mor, Glasgow show and I'm in it I'll need to get it printed.
