We do 3 and 4 hour gigs all the time and we have to lug all our gear about and set it up, not just walk on stage and play, amateurs

Not really because UK venues are regulated nowadays and can't go over certain volumes. In effect Take That could be as loud as Manowar if they so wished. I thought you'd have known that.

As for playing five hours? Well it won't happen in the UK due to curfews of 10.30 - 11pm in built up areas for live music events. Also if it was advertised as a five hour gig i definitely wouldn't go. Who wants to see Manowar for five hours solid? I'd be bored out of my mind.
