I remember getting excited when Max Headroom was on because stuff like this actually used to get a tiny bit of exposure. |

It's an absolute corker and I never tire of hearing it. They really remind me of Throbbing Gristle in some ways, in that this tune is like their Hot On The Heels Of Love - a sublime and beautiful track that belies their other more avant garde and 'out there' output.

I'll definitely give your mix a listen, and may upload some of mine. I also sometimes make playlists on Youtube to listen to whilst I'm on the PC, and don't want to spend a lot of time messing around creating playlists on iTunes. Here's a fairly recent one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClOJL6ljvVA&list=PL247AF82EAAF209D9&index= 1&feature=plpp_video Also, I'm actually surprised at how well this thread has been received so far: I anticipated a quick but painful death. |

Awesome. Didn't realise you could do playlists via You Tube - uh oh there goes more hours of the day that I don't have to spare

Yeah, No Comment. It's a pretty good album, and like you say a more back-to-their routes approach. The over-used sample is from Apocalypse Now, for anyone who finds it familiar. My favourite Front 242 albums remain 06:21:03:11 Up Evil and 05:22:09:12 Off, but I've pretty much enjoyed all their albums - Pulse even gets plenty of listens in my household (much to my neighbours' disappointment)! |
