Amount of money they can make in one night from ticket sale merchandise etc should be enough for anyone, let alone the millions they Will make from a tour but sadly we live in a world full of greed where enough money is not enough, eventually some people will price themselves out that their real and genuine fans will miss out because they don't want to pay stupid money , shame really
Because let's be honest the ticket price doesn't stop there , the cost of going, food and drink while there, travel and some cases overnight stay, buying of merchandise so in end can amount to £150 plus
If a ticket is somewhere around £100, the cost of going to see Britney Spears for two children and an adult, for example, is so prohibitive that few will be able to afford it.

You have to remember that included in that ticket cost is also the wages for everyone involved. In a tour like Britney’s you can imagine her having a lot of crew to build the set and transport it everyday as well as stage crew to keep the show running. On top of that you have to rent the venue and sometimes pay for their staff too.

I agree it’s too expensive these days but so is everything meaning wages need to be more... it’s a vicious cycle.

I don't know if it's just me, but it seems concert ticket prices have despite very quickly recently and it wasn't that many years ago when I paid around £30 to see the likes of Foo Fighters, Green Day and Florence + the Machine.

I am seriously thinking about going to see The Fratellis in Newcastle where tickets are only £20 (I think I paid about the same to see Dropkick Murphys in 2014). I know they're not a huge name now, but I would guess he would be hugely entertaining, perhaps even more so than Britney Spears.

I really wanted to go to the Manchester gig but I couldn't really afford the time at the moment! Hopefully I can go to Epica/Myrkur in April though!!

I went to see Anneke van Giersbergen's VuuR on Friday in Manchester, I've followed her career since 1995 when I bought The Gathering's game changing album Mandylion, this was the first time I had the pleasure of hearing her sing in person.

I LOVED it! Such great energy and you can tell she really loves singing to people.

The setlist was right across the board featuring all sort of songs spanning her career, and a touching tribute to Chris Cornell.

Time - Rotterdam
My Champion - Berlin
On Most Surfaces (Inuït) (The Gathering cover)
The Martyr and the Saint - Beirut
The Storm (The Gentle Storm cover)
Like a Stone (Audioslave cover)
Valley of the Queens (Ayreon cover)
Freedom - Rio
Days Go By - London
Your Glorious Light Will Shine - Helsinki
Strange Machines (The Gathering cover)

Encores

Fallout (Devin Townsend Project cover)
Reunite! - Paris

The Storm sounded particularly good played by the VuuR boys, super heavy and gothic.

Alternatively just go and visit a strip club. The performance will be similar with the music taped in and at least you'll be able to see her.
