I bought 3 tickets for Elton John and 2 tickets for Rod Stewart for my mum because she was on holiday in Australia, and a couple of days ago she transferred to me the £490 to pay for FIVE Tickets!!! It's an absolute joke and it's plain greedy, whether it's the artists themselves or the promoters/management setting the prices, something has to change.

Working in a venue I know that we get, usually, around 15% of the gross take and the rest goes to the promoter to be split among the cast/crew of a show, it's the same with the merch table. The artist themselves probably get a set-fee per engagement regardless of sales the greedy concert promoters pocket the rest!

Tbh I wont pay over £50 if I see anything above that I refuse to go, I remember 3 yr ago I wanted to see Jean Michel jarre tickets cost £50 when they added all the extra cost handling fee , booking fee , and what ever bollocks it came to £83 I just said no thank you and hung up , 6 week later I managed to get a ticket somehow for £37 that inc all extra costs.

Ive seen them 3 times and I'm tempted to go again .
This just seems to be a few dates in April only which seems a bit strange, maybe more might be announced later
Closest to you is Newcastle and that's still some distance to travel .
I think all groups should play some in all 4 countries England Scotland Ireland wales , but no matter where anyone play there will always be someone who a bit disappointed , and let's be fair Scotland a big place and most concerts seems to be within the same area and that tends to be Glasgow , I do kinda feel sorry for people who live out in the sticks in middle of nowhere like elgin, fraserburgh, or john o groats where they are miles away from anywhere really.

But what can be frustrating is things like Monty python farewell tour playing just 5 days in 02 arena only same goes for Still game farewell tour in Glasgow only.

Some Fans of who ever or what ever will always be a tadge miffed in the long run .
