Although in fairness I don't think ive bought one for more than £5.Cutting Edge scores pretty well, there is three cd's,with 18 tracks per cd,so 54 tracks altogether, which if you think of in the terms of cash is about 9 pence per track. Like the majority of compilations, there is of course the usual Good, The Bad and The Ugly of music.Luckily there is more good than bad and ugly, some of the good being The Lotus Eaters The first picture of you,Spear of Destiny Liberator,A Flock of Seagulls I ran,Japan Quiet life and a song which although a little bit cheesy is a great toe tapping tune by Wax called Bridge to your Heart,a song I had totally forgot about but instantly remembered when it came on.There's a few interesting choices,The Stranglers Always the Sun and Iggy Pop Loco Mosquito which are not the obvious choices from there 80's output. If you have bought a few of the Ministry Of Sound 1980's compilations box sets then you will have a few of these songs already, but there is some genuine great oddball choices that makes this comp a worth while purchase,I mean who can not love New Musilk's Living by Numbers.
I saw Wax during their Bridge To Your Heart tour.

Edit: New Musik is one of the most underrated bands ever, IMO. From A to B is a classic album if you don't have it already.

Nobody can compare to you, D. Everyone knows that! Wax were actually very good, I've always been big fans of Graham Gouldman (10cc) and Andrew Gold (Lonely Boy, Never Let Her Slip Away).

Default Twelve Inch Eighties: You Spin Me Round Box set

Twelve Inch Eighties: You Spin Me Round Box set
Do my usual supermarket dash minus Dale Winton of course,I came across the budget music shelve of my local ASDA,and what caught my beedy little eye today, twas Twelve Inch Eighties: You Spin Me Round Box Set,30 12inch remixs from the 80's spread over three CD discs, for the poultry sum £7 of your earth pounds. Admittedly not a bargain as its the same online, but still not a bad price for 30 tracks me thinks. All in a nice shiny fold out cardboard sleeve. Now depending on your view of the 80's,it was either the best of times or the worst of times. And thats pretty much what you get here a mixture of some rather cracking tracks Safety Dance (12" Version )by Men Without Hats,I'm Not Scared (Disco Mix) by Eighth Wonder and Quiet Life (12")by Japan to name a few.Of course seeing as this is the 80's you do not get off that easily,we have of course abit of Rick rolling with Never Gonna Give You Up,yes you get 12inchs of Astley. And My Favorite Waste of Time (12" Jumbo Mix)by Owen Paul summing up his career nicely there.Still with any compilation you have got to take the rough with the smooth and Live It Up (12" Remix) by Mental As Anything is not a bad track to dance around your kitchen to.
