| It's okay... it's a compilation of previous EPs and apparently is the result of years worth of work. Aside from a couple of stand-out tracks (which had already been released), it's pretty much filler and was pretty disappointing.
Apparently Klayton recorded almost 300 tracks for this album, but only chose 17 for the finished product. Hopefully, this will mean we'll see releases of these that didn't quite make it in the near future.
Unfortunately, Klayton seems to have hit a bit of a low in his career, where he's more interested in remixing his earlier stuff than coming up with anything fresh.
His Circle of Dust and early Celldweller days were definitely the highlight of his career, for me. He has just released a live DVD/BD 'Live Upon a Blackstar' which looks quite good (there are some mash-ups of some of his tracks on there, and he also introduces a bit of his Circle of Dust era material into his newer Celldweller stuff). It's slightly embarrassing (and disappointing) to see that the crowd are mainly made up of 16 year old girls; but **** it, I still enjoy his music to an extent. |
