So it was Record Store Day yesterday and it was a bit of a bust, looking over the list of exclusive releases there were only a couple of things I wanted. The last few years I've had to narrow my list down but this year it was more like, 3 things and those I wasn't really bothered if I got them or not.

I picked up this though, a 7" single on Finders Keepers of alternate versions of music used in Valerie and her Week of Wonders. I have the OOP LP already which has about 25 cues on it already and this has another 7. Fantastic music.

If I remember rightly, the front opens out like double doors and inside are all the patients of the institute? Mine is at my mums house, I don't have room for all of my records in my apartment, which is a shame.

Found 2 The Pictish Trail cds (sealed)
and the Little Boots cd 'Hands'. I like most of this faux 80s stuff tbh.
None of it is a patch on say, John Foxx's Burning Car but still ...

Excellent album in my opinion. She's really talented.

It's certainly betterer than that La Roux 1st, which was a bit fey imo. Only time will tell if Hands will sit along with my Ladytron collection

Actually, the inner gatefold cover a representation of all the songs on the album. If you look closely, you can see:
  • Wish I Was Born In Beverley Hills - The rich girl with the cigarette holder, standing by the wall
  • The Quiet Room
  • Nurse Rozetta - The nurse hanging the picture and the Minister touching her bottom
  • Millie And Billie - The All-American couple, sitting in the chairs
  • Serious - The gambler in the wheelchair, with the playing cards
  • For Veronica's Sake - The dog
  • Jackkife Johnny - The Vietnam vet with the umbrella
  • Inmates (We're All Crazy) - The entire picture!

Also, if you open the flap that shows Alice sat in a padded cell, wearing a straight-jacket, there is a message that reads 'Inmates! In memory of Moonie'. This was a nod to Alice's drinking buddy Keith Moon, who had died two months before the album was released
