I have Kill em All and Master of Puppets vinyls which I bought in the 90's that cost me £2 each from a second hand shop. I never got Ride the Lightening though, I had that on cassette!

I also have the $5.87 EP 12" as well which was maybe £2.50!

I have all the original vinyls of Metallica's albums up to and including the Black album. Also the Jump in the Fire shaped picture disc and One 7".

I'm not sure which is my fave. Depending on mood it's any one from Lightning through to the Black album. Master of Puppets was the first one i bought so i'll say that as it still sounds immense. That's how i learned Rock Hudson was gay.

I think that's my favourite as well. With only eight songs, there aren't that many compared to later albums, but there isn't a dud amongst them and almost all are stone cold classics.
