Anyhow, I got this yesterday. Less drone than his earlier stuff, more like late 60s, early 70s acid folk for want of a better tag. The hairy pic is of Mr Tucker playing live. |
I'm waiting for the MTV Unplugged: Florence + the Machine CD/DVD to arrive. I haven't seen the show, but I saw them in concert last month and they were amazing – Florence Welch is a superb vocalist and stage presence, something which I hope transfers to the MTV Unplugged format. |

Although strictly speaking not an album, thanks to the recommendation by Ricky Chad, I've just ordered Metallica's Beyond Magnetic EP – a CD containing tracks which didn't make the 'final cut' when they settled on the track listing for Death Magnetic. |
These are my recent acquisitions from the past couple of months: Inverted - Defiled tales Slavland - Tarcza Swaroga Morbid Flesh - Reborn In Death Profanatica - Disgusting Blasphemies Against God Megadeth - Th1rt3en Judas Priest - Screaming for vengeance Epica - Requiem For The Indifferent Napalm Death - Utilitarian Energetic Krusher - Path to oblivion Exanthema/Chronic Decay - Split Tormented - Graveyard Lust Bombs of Hades/Usurpress - Split Timeghoul - Complete Discography Affliction Gate - Aeon Of Nox (From Darkness Comes Liberation) Unearth - III:in the eyes of fire Morbid Saint - Spectrum of death Black Breath - Sentenced to Life Sorcery - Bloodchilling Tales Iuvenes / Leviathan - The Speed Of Darkness / Live In Eternal Sin Carcass - Necrotic Innards Intestine Baalism - Ultimate Instinct Horrid - The Final Massacre Evil Army - S/T Mayhem - Live Eternal Nile - Worship The Animal Malevolent Creation - Creation Of Demos Mordbrand - Necropsychotic Macabra - Blood-Nurtured Nature Vladimirs - The Late Hours  |
Whats the latest Epica like Paul. They are a band i have a couple of albums by, but never seem to have the killer songs Nightwish or Within Temptation come out with. |
It's good. Very similar to a Dutch band called Orphanage in places. I stopped liking Within Temptation when decided to let other people write songs for them and turned into a poor Evanescence clone. If you like Nightwish, you should check out Amberian Dawn.;) Amberian Dawn - River Of Tuoni - YouTube |
You're not into easy listening then, Paul?! |
If it doesn't sound like world war three erupting from the speakers, then I'm not usually interested. |

The last one I ordered, but hasn't yet arrived, is Songbook by Chris Cornell. |
Last album MASTODON - THE HUNTER Probs the best metal band in the world right now and the album proves it. It has some wonderful moments and no two songs sound alike. It reminds me of some Led Zeppelin's stuff. |
Zebadiah Crowe - 'Grawl!' The Many Deaths Of The great beast |

Just bought the savoy Family Album by the Savoy Family Band. Anyone else love Cajun? |
2 of the most polarizing albums to come out recently i think... whitechapel - whitechapel (band from my hometown in tennessee) & Rascal Flatts - Changed (my gf said she wanted it and I'm a fan so i went ahead and bought it on iTunes.) :decision: |

Apparently Klayton recorded almost 300 tracks for this album, but only chose 17 for the finished product. Hopefully, this will mean we'll see releases of these that didn't quite make it in the near future. Unfortunately, Klayton seems to have hit a bit of a low in his career, where he's more interested in remixing his earlier stuff than coming up with anything fresh. His Circle of Dust and early Celldweller days were definitely the highlight of his career, for me. He has just released a live DVD/BD 'Live Upon a Blackstar' which looks quite good (there are some mash-ups of some of his tracks on there, and he also introduces a bit of his Circle of Dust era material into his newer Celldweller stuff). It's slightly embarrassing (and disappointing) to see that the crowd are mainly made up of 16 year old girls; but **** it, I still enjoy his music to an extent. |
