Cool

Wensday picked up Amy Winehouse FRANK and Brian Eno AMBIENT 1 CD's, from a charity shop for £3 each, can't beat the silver discs, I have a mp3 player full of songs but if I want top quality I'll use a CD recorded mini-disc for walkmen compilation duty. Although cheaper now, I can't help feeling CD's should be much cheaper in shops to compete with downloads(just be thankful if you're not a classical buff, box sets get stupidly expensive)

If you've got an iPod, I'd recommend ripping into AIFF, as it's CD quality. It's basically a modern codec of WAV that supports lower frequencies. If you've got another player (or a jailbroken iPhone/iPod Touch) then FLAC is the way forward.

Last album I bought was this 1974 vinyl off ebay the other day, trying to complete my DR JOHN on vinyl collection! I like it when I find originals at half the price of the rerelease
