I bought the new Paul Weller album today in Asda.

I've never owned a Weller album before nor The Jam but the cover and title intrigued me when i saw it had come out and i decided to listen to the title track wondering / hoping it would have echoes of chillin out, California soul style. I ended up listening to most of the album on Youtube on Saturday and also Sunday and thought it was really good, with various styles of music but essentially it had that vibe i was looking for with the music matching the sunset of the cover.

Think of it as the final album of a hot summer day when you've spent the afternoon and evening listening to Kyuss' back catalogue and the sun is setting on the horizon.

I ordered the cd today too. I blame Nosferatu as well, something he said when he posted about it flicked a switch in my head.

Bought a cd of Bowie's Pinups today, an album I never really rated mainly due a cursory listen during my initial phase of worship haha.
So I'll let you know. Tis the Rykodisc one form '90. Nice photos in the booklet etc. £1.
