Default Blur or Oasis

Which one do you prefer?

Me: Blur can't stand Oasis

Hang on, is it 1995 again?

I don't mind either, but Blur we're absolutely shite when I saw them at V97 in Leeds, we didn't even watch all their set, instead checking out who was headlining the second stage at the same time (forget who now). But, Oasis were pretty good live on the few occasions I saw them, the last being in Manchester in 2005.

From a musicians point of view, Blur are better because Noel Gallagher can't play guitar for shit, good songwriter though, whereas as Graham Coxon is a brilliant guitarist IMO

I was never a fan of Oasis.

They can both disappear up their own asses as far as I'm concerned. The Stone Roses stand head and shoulders over both, IMO.

Although I would have to pick Blur, if forced. There's no denying that Coffee and TV is can amazing song.

Gotta agree with Mr 420 on this one, John Squire's guitar playing has influenced my playing style more than any other guitarist, seen them twice live and they were brilliant.
Also, saw Pulp play at the free Heineken Festival in Leeds in 1995, which was meant to be their only UK festival appearance until John Squire fell off his mountain bike in San Francisco, meaning Pulp replaced the Roses as headliners at Glastonbury 95. They were fantastic, highlight of the entire day, which also included indie bands like Menswear, Marion, 60ft Dolls, Echobelly, Sleeper etc.

*Not just a long haired Metalhead
