There are quite a few monochrome films that look amazing in HD, the most recent example being Psycho which was a quite stunning transfer as they left in the right amount of grain so as not to obliterate fine detail whilst refining the contrast levels.

Who'd be up for Blu Ray releases of this classic series in the UK?
If they were to be released on Blu in the UK, I think it would finally convince me to pick some of the boxsets up!

Completely agree with you on Psycho Nos; looks stunning in HD - ditto Paranoiac too.

Well, if anyone does want to start on the US Blu's, Seasons 1 & 2 are in this BOGOF at around $79 + shipping for the two. They can take forever to ship though and probably a big customs risk..

So some form of UK BD release would be a welcome and tempting proposition....

I saw the review over on dvdbeaver for the lastest release from the US. The screencaps are jawdropping. It looks amazing.

It certainly would as I don't fancy my chances with Customs when buying $80 worth of The Twilight Zone from America.

This would do extremely well over here in HD form I reckon.

I agree, especially if they were priced at, say, about £50 a set, maybe a bit more. If that were the case then I wouldn't hesitate to buy the first couple of seasons and gradually pick them up as I go through them, buying them as I go.

Yeah, I don't think I'd want to risk the Customs charges either. Also, the US versions are Region A locked - whilst okay for me, this is definitely a show that's in need of a Region B/Region All HD release.

I've also just had a look at the HD screencaps over at dvdbeaver, and they indeed look fantastic.
