DTM have a few of those tins + the 3D Star Metalpaks also released by XT. I have at least one, but none from the 'Shocking Classics' series.

They are very impressive, though: I think that Cannibal Holocaust is a 3-discer. DTM have a nice Eaten Alive! tin - English friendly too. ;)

Pete 26th February 2010 09:34 PM

I have seen similar tins for Anthropophagus and The Beyond. Very nice they are too:nod:

The Beyond was on e-bay for £39.99.

Aren't XT meant to be a bootleg outfit?

Nice stuff loops - I'd recognise that Torso anywhere though! ;)

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 26th February 2010 09:52 PM

Also, if anyone's interested someone is selling the Dragon release of Phenomena (Digipak) on eBay. I have it, and it's a nice release. No bidders yet either. ;)

bdc 26th February 2010 10:15 PM

Nice ones Loops,I would love to get my claws on The Mutilator from Dragon.

I don't think so Loops,I know they don't own the rights for some releases but they use the discs from companies who do own the rights then.
They just make an XT hardbox for them.
On the other hand NSM have been accused of being bootleggers I think.

Can you imagine selling that BE?
I love my Dragon digipacks...
Bargain time for someone. ;)

[edit] just noticed it's not you who's selling...almost time for bed!

Are you really going to sell that BE?
I love my Dragon digipacks... :ohwell:

Thanks B, I knew one of the german companies was a possible bootlegger.

That Mutilator dvd was another e-bay auction that went unoticed. The seller had it paired up with Dont Go in the House (R1) and I managed to get them for £I0.

I wonder if people saw it and thought it was the Vipco edition:suspicious:

Sorry guys but what is it with everyone and digipaks? I despise them.I think they're the ugliest things imaginable, prone to being bashed to bits before even leaving the manufacturing plant.Give me a food sturdy plastioc amaray case anyday!

They are better than 'snapper' cases don't you think?

bdc 26th February 2010 10:42 PM

Very nice Reaps, there's also a Dragon release of The Burning btw.

Collectability mate....but yeah I know what you're saying.

Snapper cases were the epitome of garbage!
I replaced ALL that I had with nice amarays....

Well actually..........for me they fall into the same category.Being someone who's dvd cases have to be in absolutely 100% perfect condition (yes I think I have a problem  ) ,they're just not sturdy enough for me,I've never had one from the U.S that wasn't damaged on some way, although my definition of damaged and normal people's definition of damaged are probably completely different things,

Stephen@Cult Labs 26th February 2010 10:50 PM

Anyhoo, enough of my anal retentive rambling,I'll let you get :focus:

bdc 26th February 2010 10:54 PM

I'm not a bit fan of Amaray's,a lot of them get broken in the mail.
I never was a fan of digipacks until I got my first two Dragon's.
But the Dragon (and Raptor) digi's are really something else I think.

Btw Reaps, did you know your Raptor dvd was confiscated by the Austrian police in 2005? ;)

I think digipacks are nice to display but snapper cases are a pain to store.

I'm the same, I like my dvd cases to be perfect. I've had loads of Shriek Show dvd's arrive in the post that have been damaged, because they use those cheaply made amarays that you get from £shops:mad:

What do you think of 'hardboxes'?

bdc 26th February 2010 11:01 PM

I like the hardboxes, reminds me of the old vhs collection...
Also there are big and small ones (I think they're adorable ;)).
And they are sturdier than one would think.

You're right but....snapper cases were despicable.

I remember cutting up THE EXORCIST snapper and trying to fit it into an Amaray....ended up in a second hand record shop in Falkirk....
