Well it would have been cool for 84 to release them as well... ;)
They are planning Dellamorte Dellamore and Night of the Intruder.

bdc 28th April 2010 07:44 PM

Seems the uncut Absurd will be coming from XT? (unconfirmed)

bdc 29th April 2010 10:50 AM

This one just arrived. :)

Great cover! Top film too. Deserves more respect than other Deodato flicks that people seem to love!

Pete 29th April 2010 12:27 PM

That cover is superb, much better than the AB one:nod:

bdc 29th April 2010 03:11 PM

Got lucky getting this one, seems it's not so easy to find anymore. ;)
84 do have some nice covers.

bdc 29th April 2010 06:43 PM

Been watching the CMV disc included in the 84 hardbox and this version of Cut and Run seems to be different than the US AB dvd.
The movie seems completely in English for starters (unless I dozed off) and might even have more graphic footage in there as the leg ripping seemed extended (not sure about that since it's a long time since I watched the AB)?
It also includes the softer shots of the violent scenes (intended for more sensitive territories) as a bonus.
Picture quality is very good except for a sec in the extended leg ripping (different source).

Here's a comparison between an Aussie cut vhs and CMV uncut dvd. (in German)
Seems a few seconds is missing from the CMV because of print damage (nothing important) they are marked as Filmriss (filmdamage) in the review.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 29th April 2010 06:48 PM

Very nice B!

I've got it on the NSM Steelbook.

From what I recall, the CMV was the same artwork only in colour.

bdc 29th April 2010 07:17 PM

Thanks Reaps! ;)
Yes the CMV has the colour and there's also an 84 with the colour artwork, but I found this more "special"...
The NSM uses a different print source than the CMV,the NSM dvd seems to be a port of the AB dvd.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 29th April 2010 07:20 PM

I was lucky enough to see this on the big screen in the Glasgow film Theatre.
A much neglected Deodato gem, which sadly will never emerge from Cannibal Holocaust's shadow.:ohwell:

bdc 29th April 2010 10:05 PM

I watched this on the big screen when it first hit cinema's in Belgium.
On a Sunday afternoon. :)
Unfortunately it was a cut or softer version.

bdc 2nd May 2010 07:22 PM

Me neither. I hope D&T decide to stock it.

Language doesn't bother me too much, as I'm mainly in it for the artwork, b... ;)
