What secret lurks 20,000 feet below the waves in the paranormal realm called the Bermuda Triangle? That’s the question a scientist (Burl Ives), his student (Carl Weathers) and a young man (Leigh McCloskey) haunted by nightmarish memories of his Bermuda childhood ask themselves. The answer involves a beauty (Connie Sellecca) who has sold her soul for eternal youth and a giant sea turtle that leaves death in its wake. Eerie and hypnotic, The Bermuda Depths was produced by Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass (The Year Without a Santa Claus), who meld their imaginative fantasy style with the live-action horror genre.

Warner Archive Has Restored the Boris Karloff-Starring ‘Isle of the Dead’ for New Blu-ray Release / Bloody Disgusting

"Another horror classic is on the way from Warner Archive, with 1945’s Isle of the Dead announced for upcoming Blu-ray release. The movie stars horror legend Boris Karloff.

Warner Archive’s brand new 1080p HD Master is sourced from a 4K scan of the Original Nitrate Camera Negative, and the Blu-ray will be released on March 30th, 2021.

In the Val Lewton-produced, Mark Robson-directed film, “Once you visit the Isle of the Dead, there’s no hope of returning to the land of the living. A small island off the coast of Greece holds a secret so dreadful that once you step onto its soil you must remain there forever. General Pherides (Karloff) is one such a visitor. Going to the island to honor the grave of his late wife, Pherides discovers that it’s held in the grip of a terrifying plague – a sickness that enters the victim’s mind and drives them insane!

“Pherides leads the fight against the plague, but then falls prey to it himself. In his delirium, he believes that a woman named Thea (Ellen Drew) is a vrykolaka – a vampire responsible for the deaths. Insanity runs rampant, and grave robbery, premature burial and ghastly vampires are the unspeakable horrors that await on the Isle of the Dead.”"

It’s official: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment confirms that WB Shop has closed for good (it’s not an April Fool’s joke) / The Digital Bits

"...So after posting our own WB Shop “joke” on social, I emailed contacts at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to find out what was actually going on. And I’ve now heard back from them and have officially confirmed that WB Shop is no more. It’s been closed for good, and is essentially being supplanted by the new Warner Archive “Brand Room” on Amazon.com. So that’s where you’ll be buying Warner Archive Blu-ray and DVD titles from now on.

Let me repeat that, just so it’s clear: WB Shop is no more. All Warner Archive titles will now be officially available via this section on Amazon.com (click here for that). That is NOT an April Fool’s joke.

The Zack Snyder’s Justice League WB Shop HD-DVD exclusive IS a joke, however, and I thought a pretty damn good one. But I’ve been kind of soured on the whole April Fool’s thing for a while now, which is why I didn’t post it here on The Bits originally.

Nevertheless, based on all the confusion I’ve been seeing today from Bits readers, I did feel it important to check in here with clarification on what’s actually happening with WB Shop. So now you all know.

It’s officially kaput, gone for good, an ex-parrot.

Surprise!

*sigh*

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news."
