I Walked with a Zombie is my fourite Lewton... no doubt they know this, hence the delay

There was a rumour at one point that it was with Criterion!

I like Ghost Ship. It'll be the first time it will be availble in a good print.

The dvd from the Lewton box set isn't a poor print, Rob. At least mine isn't.

It's not one i'd upgrade generally (I think Warner Archive clearly know this) but looks like i will be doing as i think Bedlam is brilliant. Anna Lee gives a terrific performance and takes no shit from nasty Karloff.

Delighted you like I Walked with a Zombie, Rob. Zombie vies with The Body Snatcher as my favourite Lewton. In fact both are in my top ten movies of all time. Not just Lewton or horror but of every movie ever made.

The Body Snatcher was ordered more or less as soon as i got an all region Bd player. I aim to watch it either on my birthday next month or on Christmas eve.

Well perhaps not a terrible print but I felt like it was one of the poorest on the set. I think these new ones are going to be from the original negative.

I love all the Lewton's but there's an atmosphere to 'Zombie' that makes it like a dream. Hard to describe in words really...

I first saw it on the BBC2 Double Bills. Yeah, they know everyone is waiting for that title.
