Don't want to start ruining the great announcements on this thread with yawnsome technical arguments.....it was enivitable though.

I thought there was one. But I see no arguements here.

I have to say I didn't notice any issues with either Slaughterhouse or Woods. Woods is bright and colourful with the any print damage more noticable because it's HD. Slaughterhouse was colourful and the blacks never a problem, I certainly didn't notice macroblocking or compression issues. The screencaps on DVD Beaver don't really do the presentation justice.

Frankly I find the whole screencaps thing utter b*****s any way. Perhaps its the years I spent staring at grainy 5th generation pirate copies of slasher films that I'm not as fussy as some. I can spot clear issues like with a lot of the Italian releases and the scanner noise/DNR but with some of the other complaints I see I get genuinely bemused. It gets to the point that I start to feel like I should be apologising for enjoying a release...

That said, if there are issues people should bring them forward, as mentioned previously 88 listen to the fans and are sure to take this stuff on board.

Should add don't want to pi$$ anyone off with these comments and not meant in anger. More a general sense of frustration. Apologies to anyone taking this the wrong way as no offence meant!

Glad you looked it up.

Technical aspects which can be discussed on the technical thread if Mr Wilson is right.

And for anyone else wanting to know what the interesting neologism 'yawnsome' means....

An adjective to describe something that is boring, hence inducing yawns. From awesome, though none of awesome's positive connotations remain from the link - the similarity with awesome is simply there to hieghten the sense of boredom in the word.

There was one but it was closed due to the old technical ultraviolence.

Let's try again...
