They've announced Absurd on FB, being careful to post it after 12, they already posted Romy and Michelle but that was clearly pretend and a shame it's not true haha.

Hmmmm...This particular post was bang on 12pm, so unless the guys have forgotten the rules, can we get excited about this?

Friday Announcement part #2
The sequel to Anthropophagous, ABSURD aka ROSSO SANGUE aka ANTHROPOPHAGOUS 2 aka MONSTER HUNTER aka ZOMBIE 6: MONSTER HUNTER.
We will shortly be launching a crowd-funding initiative to restore this from the original negative in 2K. We will also plan new extra features and some special packaging.
What are your thoughts? Will you support us?

ABSURD is a great announcement if it's true. Been waiting for a decent release for a long time.

I've never seen Absurd. I take it from your pleasure Boo that it's a fine film.

I always meant to buy the Mya US release but never got round to it.

Oh, God, no!! It's shite!! But shite of the highest order!! It's one of those, "Time and Place" films for me. It's reputation is way better than it's actual feature but it's one I love. I have the VHS of it signed by Joe D'Amato at one of those Midnight Media showings in London back in the early '90's.
There is no way I can say it's good, but it is essential to me!

I personally prefer Anthro to Absurd but enjoy them both very much.

Time to retire my MYA DVD as long as the announcement isn't bogus of course...

I found ABSURD to be very entertaining, like most of Joe D'amato's films. Although, i think ANTHRO is more atmospheric.
Only ever seen ABSURD on a VHS that's well worn out now.
