88 confirmed earlier in reply to someone's question about Absurd been an April Fools that it definitely isn't a fool. Their awaiting on a sample from the licensor. So good news!

88s suggestion of it being a kick starter to do a proper Restoration may be needed if its wrecked.

Watched burial ground and emanuelle and the last cannibals last night. Impressed with the quality on both. I know emanuelle didn't impress everyone here but I thought the transfer looked good.

Can anyone advise if replacement discs for Splatter University are still being issued/available?

Sent 88Films an e-mail middle of last week and haven't had a response.

I don't know about the status for the replacement discs.

As for not receiving a response, that's not unusual because it is a two-man operation and they are quite busy with Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3, Scalps, Creepshow 2 etc.

Calum Waddell has just said on Twitter that Naomi Holwill is staying busy with the 88 Films edition of AMUCK. Two new Barbara Bouchet pieces lined up.

This is very welcome news.

I would wait until there is an official announcement saying what has happened and what to do in order to obtain your replacement disc.

On facebook on the 25th Jan:

Update on Splatter University replacement programme.

We have replaced about 2/3 of the initial run now so we're going to close the replacement programme on 1st March. So if you haven't gotten around to contacting us yet please do so in the next 5 week s.
