Interesting, but I wonder how the monkey scene in man from deep river got through, do they perhaps not see that as being cruelty?

I think i heard somewhere that animal slaughter is allowed(ie a quick kill to be eaten etc) where as cruelty is prolonging the act, can't remember the scene so don't know if that applies.

I'm sure that scene is shorter than the uncut version. I'm not sure if the moment when the top of the monkey's head is removed has been excised or not – I'm sure someone who has seen it more recently can say.

its also the usual round of keyboard warriors who suddenly turn into so called consumer rights specialists with threats of trading standards and bringing court claims to assert their rights.

unfortunately we have to deal with this type in work who after watching one episode of judge rinder think they can sue the world until you mention the possibility of a counter claim or award for costs which would likely result in a charging order secured on their home.

for what its worth i think 88 did a fantastic job and delivered great value for money on these films although the last person who posted something similar on their facebook page unfortunately got the flaming torches and pitchfork treatment from the mob including someone calling him a complete and utter bastard. Guess someones a fan of the young ones then.

actually talking of comedy someone should send this story to Dave Gorman I'm sure he could get some material out of the outraged film buyers over their £9 spend.

Right I just left a post on 88 films Facebook page offering anyone that wants to sell Massacre in Dinosaur Valley the £9 they spent on it so they no longer need to be outraged or out of pocket.

I wonder how many replies I will get to take me up on my offer?

i think 88 films are taking the posts down almost as quickly as people are putting them up, there are even posts complaining about that
