I have it saved on my phone for whenever any of my band mates (usually our bass player) makes ridiculous suggestions of songs to learn

There are those that pass it off as just a mindless mash-up of tits and gore.

Enough incentive in itself to give it a whirl methinks.

Probably why it's my favourite of his latter day efforts.
Also because he's the main focus it's interesting to watch the man himself on a mission.
Yes of course I've seen Cat in the Brain before, it's my favourite of the latter Fulci's. I first bought it from a UK retailer when I was getting into Italian horror, the retailer sadly was raided by the police and I think sent to prison for selling unclassified dvd's. What I meant was that I haven't got around the watching the Grindhouse Blu release, I waited a few months after it came out before buying it and then 88 announced their release so I've just waited. The glow in the dark spine shines at me at night!

I do wonder if we'll ever get the other late Fulci films on UK or US Blu - Sodomas Ghost, Voices from Beyond, House of Clocks, Sweethouse of Death, Demonia etc? I know Code Red released Voices but I'd like to see 88 or even Shameless put it out here and Sodomas Ghost is tedious beyond belief but maybe one day.

Well I can report that Cat looks very good, the newly shot (for the film) scenes look great. The inserts from other films still look a little rough but overall the image and audio is in great shape. Is it the same transfer as Grindhouses I don't know as I've never played my copy.
The Brain Food documentary is interesting and makes me want to rewatch a few titles again. It's a talking heads piece that really starts from Devils Honey upto Door to Silence. Oddly there's no mention of the Houses of Doom films or Voices from Beyond.
Ultimately is Cat a good film, no but it's a great deal of bloody, delirious fun.

So did mine.
I like the new 'full image' fronts as opposed to the white border.

I'm seeing a definite pattern here. It seems that either Louis Stephenson doesn't like the kind of films he reviews, or 88Films are releasing a bunch of turkeys!
Louis Stephenson strikes again!
