i wasn't meaning the quality of your photo but the image quality of the film on the 88 disc in comparison to VS's transfer.

To me 88's looks too dark and VS too light. Somewhere in between would be best. However between the two i'd definitely choose VS. Looks like the guy is wearing a completely different colour shirt in each pic.

I actually prefer the colour scheme on 88’s, but who knows which one is closer to the way it’s supposed to be. I guess it just depends which one you find more pleasing to the eye.

Although, the second screengrab on the site, of the cop outside his car, the VS version is superior.

its possible that VS is a shade too light but in terms of detail it is light years ahead - you just have to look at the guys chest hair and left eye to see the difference. in addition 88s has been colour and contrast boosted - generally the appearance is very muddy.

I ordered mine with The Boneyard, Offerings and The Super Inframan, so it won't be shipped until Saturday at the earliest. It doesn't matter, because I have plenty to watch in the meantime!

I watched my edition of Alice last night, it looks and sounds fantastic. 88 have done a great job of restoring the film, especially considering the state of the materials.
