Just picking a DVD over a bluray. Each to their own and all that but for me (and I'd wager a lot of people) the PQ is the most important thing.

I suppose if a DVD is available and cheaper, and you're not that bothered about the highest picture quality for that particular film, it makes sense to buy the DVD. I've done it, and still do. Sometimes I don't want to sully my BD collection with a Blu of a potentially crap film.

I'm impressed with the cover art for The Last Horror Film. Although it's slightly tweaked i never thought we'd see the broken bottle on shelves ever again. I wonder if the original will be on the reverse? |
