Despite it's popularity we are sad to say we are ending our Skull Points scheme in December. You will only be able to continue collecting Skulls until 12.00am on 1st January 2019.

You will however have a further 3 Months to spend your points as they will still be valid until 30th March 2019."
They mustn't be doing too well sales wise to end the scheme.

Either that or the points accumulate so quickly they lose money on sales.

I had a number of £15 codes before they did away with those and have since used a couple of £10 codes, pre-ordering latest releases for £4.99!

Yes, it's perhaps a strange one.

Am i right in thinking they were pondering selling solely via their website earlier in the year? Didn't they produce a Facebook post which someone (probably Susan) reproduced here which sounded like they were thinking of terminating their HMV distribution or at least sounding out the possibility of it.

Maybe they think they’re losing money because of the points. If that’s the case and they think they’ll get more money direct, i can’t see it working, especially when things like the new Jackie Chan releases are £15 from them and only £10 in HMV and on Amazon.

Do they do website exclusive extras for new releases or is that something i've dreamt up?

Only if you count a slipcover as an extra

Ah right, thanks.

Do they still do that? I could have sworn Swamp Thing (The last one i saw as coming soon) was on HMV with slip cover and booklet. Perhaps that's just because it's a special dual format release.

Fopp tends to have a lot of the slipcases as well. I don't count a bit of card as an extra though, that's for zoomer who like looking at things on a shelf.

Hope they keep their stuff in Fopp.

Me neither. Even Battle Creek Brawl is available to preorder from Zavvi (with all packaging perks) before it's available on the 88 Films website, and was promoted by 88 Films on Twitter.
