I might be wrong but wasn't spy thriller The Rhythm Section and Eastwood's Richard Jewell dvd only too?

Just checked. The Rhythm Section got a blu-ray, but Richard Jewell was dvd only.

That's a bit shit (excuse my language folks) do they not realise that more money can be made with Blu-Ray release!

Maybe that is the thing, there isnt any money on releasing those movies on blu ray. There's less people who own a blu ray than people who own a dvd and those films weren't exactly big hits over here.

Obviously with these labels its vital to release movies on blu but if the mainstream crowd dont give a damn (and are generally buying less physical copies of movies these days) than I guess they feel it doesn't justify the costs to release them on blu.

Love the new slate from 88. I've only bought Terror Train and Devils Honey from them recently, but Scorpio and 10 to Midnight look great. Hopefully Scorpio will have a Hysteria Continues commentary. And disc featuring them is a must buy!

I'm thinking about getting a few 88 asia titles but have no idea where to start. Can anybody recommend a good starting g place to a novice?

If you're looking for Kung Fu films, and have never ever seen any Jackie Chan pre Rush Hour rubbish, then I would go with Dragons Forever from 88, or probably more suited would be Project A and Police Story from Eureka.

If you're after a Shaw Brothers film having never seen any before then 8 Diagram Pole Fighter for the latter day ones or The One Armed Swordsman for the classic era

Thanks for the recommendations. I've heard good things about One Armed Swordsman, will give it a go. As for Rush Hour, it's one of my most hated films. The bit when Chris Tucker turns round and reveals he speaks fluent Mandarin is the worst twist in cinematic history!!!

Universal seem to be major culprits.I'd have bought The Hunt on blu in a flash.
It was the same with MA.

Perhaps they're planning to license titles like this out to the Arrows of this world?
