In Both cases it's what 88 films were given. I refer you to Stephens post earlier about it being a 2 man operation.
Hell I bought toxie 3 simply as my OCD would not let me own 1,2, and 4

Deep River is a different kettle of fish. If the BBFC were not trying to protect dead animals from the 1970's then they would be able to release it uncut. As it is, rather than being sold a dodgy print they seem to be playing a gamble with the BBFC, risky perhaps.
I don't think it'll get through uncut, but I think it'll certainly be an improvement, like Cannibal Holocaust. The organized fights will have to go, evident by some recent decisions, but I think the other deaths will ultimately stay.

I'll get it either way, but no animals deaths is my preference, or at least an alternate edit, like Cannibal Holocuast had on the Shameless and Australian releases.

I completely agree with you. My point is when a label releases 3 cut movies, that is something not to be supported.

And please don't think that I'm on a crusade against 88 Films or a hater. I love their releases and this the proof of it.

Point is with two of them at least, they already spent the money and not releasing them wasn't an option.

Funnily, just had a read of some of the toxie reviews and pooch is up there commenting. In spite of it being something of a similar situation to shivers, he's not calling for 88 films to cease trading.

Like Shameless with New York Ripper, Venus in Furs, Cannibal Holocaust and The House on the Edge of the Park? I think a little context is needed.

I don't have all those shameless titles, bought other releases. What's wrong with them? Cut again?

Yes, those ones are cut. However, I am pleased Shameless showed the ambition to release them, challenging the BBFC to waive/reduce previous cuts so they were (and I think still are) in the longest ever form available in the UK.

Well I can't stand the italian cannibal flicks so I'm probably not going to buy it. I might if the special features are good and then sell it on at a later date.

Going back to special features, I am one of those who prefers them over better picture quality/sound. Special features (or to be exact newly made ones) are usually a deal breaker as to whether I buy a release brand new or wait until sale/second hand.
The truth is (get ready to gasp) I only find half of these movies any good that the companies put out!
It's only the 5 star movies (ie Assault on Precinct 13) that I go gaga over picture and sound specs.

Anyway I'll probably buy Blood Stained Shadow new since I haven't seen it before and I do like reading Callum's stuff (although he does lose his temper should you disagree with him)

Overall I love this company and I'm glad they're slowly moving away from Full Moon (sorry Stephen but you've got to admit they've already released the bulk of the companies best work). Now if only I can convince them to waste their money and release Penitentiary 3

I guess his erection isn't as big for 88 as it is for Arrow!

I do agree about the FM stuff, still a few of the "classic" titles to go though (Trancers/Puppet Master/Crash and Burn). If we get those at some point, that'll be me happy.
