Owt that’ll say ltd edition will always get snapped up by real fans, and a few touts who hopefully try and make a few quick buck not long after it sold out .

I think I might get the Lenzi/Baker set from Severin instead.

It is a really good set, but at least one of the films is coded for Region A only so you'll need a multi-region player to fully enjoy it.

I don’t know what mushrooms they were eating when they decided Killing Birds needed the premium treatment bundled together with a load of old tat and…. that’ll be £25 quid thank you.

The Lenzi/Baker severin set is a great package and the way to go with these. Good to see it going on sale for the first time on 25/6.

I must admit, I was more than happy with the original Italian Collection ( I have them all ) and would happily have bought the rest in the same format.
I guess it’s a commercial decision to change to special editions and I’ll keep buying them, but I don’t really get the reason for the upgrade and therefore price increase.

Region Free since 1997. I know it sounds smug but I can't understand why people resist...

I'm really tempted for the Baker/Lenzi set but will probably leave it till the next sale. I won't be getting the 88 release because to be honest I don't think it merits a big box LE. Those should be left for the top tier cult films imho.

101 Films' special edition of the uber-brilliant Hell Night is now only £16.99 on amazon. Just sayin'

Oh, and Grefe has crept down to £39.99 on amazon, down from 59.99 at launch...

No way Killing Birds / So Sweet, So Perverse will hold at £24.99. I'd have my doubts over them at 14.99.

I see they're saying over on blu-rage that 88 are releasing Gestpo's Last Orgy over in the US. Don't know if there's any truth to it though.

Yeah last official word I heard was them (88) replying in the thread saying there will be more news soon. I don't know if 88 would have a strong offering in the US to be branching out over there, most of their films, apart from the Golden Harvest lot, have already been out in America.

Although I guess if they did nothing but release Jackie Chan films to the Americans they'd do well
