£888.88 is always a placeholder price, no doubt inspired by the label's name.

I just remembered that one of the reasons why nicolas cage had money problems is that he would drink from $10,000 wine bottles. maybe ask him what wine it was and that could be the drink 88 films pays for?

Apparently 88films are going to be releasing Mar Lo’s 'Monkey Kung Fu' (1979) on Blu-ray sometime in the future!

Release date: July 26

"From the heady days of early 90s Hong Kong exploitation cinema comes Robotrix, a hi-octane, fast and furious science fiction romp, packed with glorious action sequences and bonkers plotlines. When evil inventor Ryuichi Sakamato (Chung Lin) transfers his mind into that of a powerful cyborg, he becomes a murderer and rapist. But when one of his victims, Police officer Selena Lin (Chikako Aoyama) becomes super robot Eve-27, she teams up with android sidekick Ann (Amy Yip) and together they seek to bring the criminally insane scientist to justice.

Like a crazy mix of The Terminator (1981), The Power Rangers and of course, Robocop (1987) Robotrix, combines the mad doctor movie with extreme martial arts to deliver a sexy, seductive, bionic tale of lust and violence given a uniquely Asian futuristic spin."

'THE DOLL OF SATAN' (1969) - THE ITALIAN COLLECTION #61

Release date: September 6th

"Emma and I - A Portrait by Director / Screenwriter Marcello Avallone
After her uncle dies unexpectedly, Elizabeth Balljanon inherits his sprawling castle. The walls are crumbling, the electricity doesn't work and there's a fully equipped torture chamber in the cellars but interior decoration is the least of her worries: a black-gloved killer haunts the halls at night and, even worse, the tales she's been told about the castle's ghosts might not be stories after all...

Part giallo, part modern-dress Gothic, The Doll of Satan is a gloriously ripe slice of Italian horror, heady with atmosphere and steamy eroticism too. 88 Films are very proud to present this rediscovered genre gem in the UK for the very first time"

Special features:
  • Italian Language with English Subtitles
  • Audio Commentary by David Del Valle and Derek Botelho
  • My Life with Emma - An Interview with Actress Erna Schürer
  • Remembering Franco Potenza - An Interview with Film Historian Pierpaolo De Sanctis
  • Includes slipcase booklet and poster for the first pressing featuring artwork by Graham Humphreys
