Hatchet For the Honeymoon - The Italian Collection 69 [THE LIMITED EDITION SERIES]
£25.00
This titles is released on 6th December 2021. Pre-order now.

From director Mario Bava, the Godfather of Italian horror, comes Hatchet for the Honeymoon, a superlative early 70s slasher which places us and the erstwhile filmmaker back in the realm of the Gialli feature, a cinematic sub-genre he practically invented.

With echoes of Psycho (1960) and Peeping Tom (1960), this unsettling production sees troubled protagonist John Harrington (Stephen Forsythe) turning to a life of serial killing. Refused a divorce by his uncaring wife, and haunted by childhood trauma John takes out his murderous frustrations on a string of would-be brides who innocently cross his path.

Undoubtedly an influence on later movies like Maniac (1980), and a host of other chillers, this often-overlooked piece from one of Europe’s finest, is a smart, beautifully stylised, gory delight.

LIMITED EDITON FEATURES
Limited edition - 3000 Units Only
Includes Rigid Slipcase with New Artwork From Colin Murdoch
40 Page Perfect Bound Book featuring "Don't Stain the Staircase" - By Barry Forshaw and "Un-American Psycho: On the Trail of the European Movie Maniac" by Andrew Graves
A3 Fold-out Poster

Disciples of Shaolin - 88 Asia 28
£14.99
This titles is released on 13th December 2021. Pre-order now.

Please note this title is also released in USA and Canada.

Another Kung Fu vehicle from the infamous Shaw Brothers Studio, Disciples of Shaolin AKA Hong quan xiao zi, delivers a typically power-packed Hong Kong tale of enemy gangs and super cool fight scenes. When Shaolin disciple Kuan Fung Yi (Sheng Fu) takes a job at a textile factory he soon becomes embroiled in a bitter and violent clash with the rival Manchu clan who run a neighbouring mill.

As well delivering some impressive martial arts set pieces, Disciples of Shaolin also provides a political punch, underlining the abuse of workers and the corruption of cruel bosses. Fast, fierce and thought provoking, this is a must for collectors of extreme Asian cinema.

LIMITED EDITION FEATURES

LIMITED EDITION Slipcase with brand-new artwork from R.P. “Kung Fu Bob” O’Brien
Double-Sided A3 Foldout Poster
Extensive Booklet Notes ‘The Visceral Martial Arts Cinema of Chang Cheh’ by Matthew Edwards, ‘International Bright Young Thing A look back on The Disciples of Shaolin and its charismatic star Alexander Fu Sheng’ by Andrew Graves and An article By Kung Fu Bob!

I picked up a copy of GOOD GUYS WEAR BLACK on Blu-ray from Ebay for I believe £4 delivered. I think that it's an Australian disc if memory serves and I think it was of decent quality.

"Not to be confused with the various retellings of Poe’s famous tale, Black Cat is a high-octane Hong Kong action thriller that provides a hugely entertaining pre-curser to the likes of Tarantino’s Kill Bill Vol 1 (2003) and south Korean cult classic, The Villainess (2017).

When Catherine (Jade Leung), a mentally disturbed young woman, is detained by the police after accidentally killing a truck driver, she finds herself part of a covert training system. Programmed as an assassin, having learned a host of new deadly skills, she becomes a lethal government weapon, codenamed Black Cat.

Director Steven Shin (Brotherhood, Easy Money, Black Cat 2), had initially intended to make a straight up remake of Luc Besson’s La Femme Nikita (1990) but when Disney bought out the rights he was forced to rethink. His solution was Black Cat, a slick, action packed gun toting thrill ride."

Release date has now been put back until January 31, 2022

Release date: January 31, 2022

"Beginning with the 1997 cult classic that rocked movie-goers and encouraged a new generation of thrill-seekers to avoid a backpacking trip to the wilds of Latin America, the ANACONDA series hits BluRay from 88 Films with each film restored in gloriously gory HD. For the original film, starring Oscar winner Jon Voight (MIDNIGHT COWBOY), pop sensation J-Lo, Ice Cube (THREE KINGS), Eric Stoltz (PULP FICTION) and Owen Wilson (ZOOLANDER), audiences were introduced to a group of hunted and helpless explorers who encounter a legendary giant reptile whilst sailing upstream in the legendary wilds of Colombia's epic rainforest. ANACONDA wrapped itself around audiences over two decades ago and is sure to slither its way into the hearts of horror buffs of a new generation. For ANACONDAS: THE HUNT FOR THE BLOOD ORCHID (2004), the veteran fear-filmmaker Dwight Little (HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS) gave audiences not just one giant carnivorous serpent but an entire gang of them! Adding even more fright to the formula, the sequel ups the stakes of survival - and was followed by ANACONDA 3: OFFSPRING (2008) in which cult legend David Hasselhoff (STARCRASH) attempts to avoid becoming a snake snack whilst discovering that scientific misdeeds has resulted in the creation of an inflated and very dangerous new forked-tongue antagonist. Finally comes ANACONDAS: TRAIL OF BLOOD (2009), headlined by the great John Rhys-Davis (LORD OF THE RINGS) and packing-in more squish and screams than ever before!! The snake is ready to strike... dare you chow down on this feast of slithery fear on BluRay?"
