According to the BBFC website, there are 12 seconds of cuts to the Medusa Video release from 1986, but nothing since then.

So as far as we know the cuts don't have anything to do with animal cruelty, that's good to know.

No the cuts I posted earlier were all for violence & for an '18' rather silly. However,I think it was precut as the arm-blasting off is not mentioned as a BBFC cut.

This morning, I received this selection from 88 Films, most of my 'reward' from the Zombi Holocaust fundraiser (Splatter University to follow):

I'll try and report on the Slasher Classics if I have time over the weekend.

I've got it preordered, but I'll cancel it when it goes up on 88's site (and pay more to get it early). Just my opinion, but I think they're way off the mark with that Amazon pricing, and with 88 making £1 profit when HMV were selling a single disc for £8, you've got to wonder what they'll make, if anything, at £17.75 Now, if it was me, I would've been selling them individually, and asking at least £9.99 for each one. (yes, even 3 & 4 lol). Amazon would've had them all at around the £12.50 mark.

If thats the case then why dont they stop selling on Amazon and in HMV stores?

Such a low profit margin almost defies belief but, on this occasion and only because I haven't seen any of the American Ninja films, I'm happy to pay the cheap price at Amazon as a blind buy. For other films where the quality is higher or I know what I'm getting, such as the Grindhouse Classics DVDs and Slasher Classics Collection BDs, I'm ordering straight from 88 Films.

I'm assuming that'll be where most of their sales come from. I was expecting a great boxset, with slim amaray cases, the original artwork for all the films, etc . But I'm lead to believe with this price now, that won't be happening, which is a shame. I'm sure everyone else doesn't really care if they come in a paper sleeve, but I was really looking forward to a nice boxset like that. Months of me posting mock-up covers came to nothing.
