Apparently theyve removed all special features that bay logan had done for supercop after online backlash. Heard over at blu-rage the mods started deleting peoples justified comments about not being happy about them rehiring bey logan. For any who are thinking "cancel culture" should read Bey's public statement on his accusations of sexual assault and harassment. It's as bad as prince Andrew's interview. I adored bey old commentary track for hong kong legends and there as far as I'm aware hasnt been proof of him acting as a pimp for Weinstein with hong kong actresses. but bey himself let alone anyone else made him seem very guilty of sexual assault and harassment. Thought after the trouble shout had with the jeepers creepers release 88 would have known better. |

When the news broke, I was repulsed that I could hold such a person in high esteem. As for Jeepers Creepers, I look at it like this. Victor Salva committed an atrocity, but he served time for it, and while he isn't upfront about it (which I can understand), he doesn't deny it. Nor have I read any interviews with him where he tried to pass the blame. What I'm saying is, when it comes to Salva, we have to decide if we feel okay about giving our money to a man who served time for child sex offences.

I'm glad Richard and James have responded to the blowback and U-turned on this, quite frankly, stupid decision.

According to Amazon, the release date has been changed to December 5, BUT... I cannot find any mention of the film at all on the 88Films site It's also strange that there has still not been any information about what extra features the film will contain

'The Pete Walker Heritage Collection' - Deluxe Collector's Edition Blu-ray pre-order available from Amazon UK - £80:00 Release date: February 20 Films contained:
"Years before he became revered as the ‘Gentleman of British Horror’, prolific filmmaker Pete Walker started his cinema career making hugely popular sexploitation movies and gangland thrillers. Walker’s films didn’t shy away from controversial subjects – prostitution, underage sex, pornography and the criminal underworld – and proved irresistible to audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. ‘X’-rated productions like School for Sex (which played solidly in London’s West End for over a year) and the bloodthirsty Man of Violence (a forerunner of Get Carter) display the exceptional early talents of Britain’s most celebrated and commercially successful director of his generation. Now for the very first time, Walker’s finest non-horror movies are brought together for this spectacular new box-set, starring a host of famous faces: Robin Askwith (Confessions of a Window Cleaner), Francoise Pascal (Mind Your Language), James Aubrey (Bouquet of Barbed Wire), David Kernan (Carry On Abroad) and Luan Peter (Hammer’s Lust for a Vampire). The Pete Walker Heritage Collection collects For Men Only (1967), School for Sex (1968), The Big Switch (1968), Man of Violence (1970), Cool It Carol! (1970) and Home Before Midnight (1978), all presented here in brand new HD restorations, and featuring an arresting array of exclusive extras, including brand-new interviews with Walker himself."
