It's one of the few titles on *the list* that I thought was fully deserving of the 'nasty' tag!!

It needs to be seen in fully uncut form (I don't know if this new release is, BBFC and all that) to appreciate it i guess. However as far as Italian home invasion films go i've always preferred Last House on the Beach and Hitch Hike.

I've never rated Hess like many folks do. (I know he's in Hitch Hike but that's a superior piece of film making all round) He's so one dimensional. A nasty piece of work and that's it.
I agree with Susan. It is definitely stronger than I thought it would be, even though I watched the slightly cut Shameless dvd (found the uncut version on Youtube a wee while later). And also agree with Dem, I've never felt like watching it all the way through again. I thought some of Hess' acting was hilarious though (that scream!). The 88 films release is going to be uncut.

Didn't know that this version of HOTEOTP is uncut compared to the Shameless DVD. Thought it would be the same version of the film with different extras like Cannibal Holocaust.

A decision will have to be made now.

Anyway any idea what Geleng’s House of Horrors is, I'm thinking it's an interview but I was hoping for some sort of Documentary on the film.

It's not bad, It's an acquired taste. I would say if you can find a cheap copy of The DVD or Online, then it's best to treat like a Video Rental. I did that with Terrifier 2.

I wouldn't pay full price for the Blu-Ray if you haven't seen it before.

It does have an rather annoying plot hole for me however:

SPOILER:
They all stood around and watched as one of their Girlfriend is getting Raped and cut up and they did nothing. Can't even believe she would have been on it.

the girl who gets cut with the cut throat razor was not in on it she turned up so she did not know what was going on so she was innocent she was not part of their plan so that's why they did nothing to stop what was going on so they just let it happen the owner of the house orchestrated it but they did not know she was coming

Looks like 88 Films are releasing The Untold Story, they've teased an announcement and there's a recent submission to the BBFC which has been passed

We've come a long way, in terms of the liberalisation of film censorship in this country, to get to the point where a film like The Untold Story is given an uncut release. Good!

I do wonder if Dr Lamb will be forthcoming now.

Also they've posted a picture of American Pie 2, that could be interesting if it's a box set of the original movies

I agree we've come along way in censorship considering half the violence on a normal tv show or tv film probably wouldn't even had been allowed in a film years ago in 70s 80s nevermind a tv show, let's be honest like of (can't remember name without googling it lol) was it glen getting his head battered in by negan would have been considered controversial in a film never mind a tv show.

The flip side, of course, is that a lot of the things that were happily being screened on afternoon and early evening television back in the 60's and 70's would never be allowed today. Examples would be things like 'Doctor Who' [Leela throwing her knife in 'The Robots Of Death', the drug references in 'The Talons Of Weng Chiang', the Nazi imagery in 'Genesis Of The Daleks', the pure body horror of 'The Ark In Space' and 'The Seeds Of Doom' etc], the public information safety films that were shown in schools, 'The Children Of The Stones', Worzel Gummidge removing his head, 'The Singing Ringing Binging Plinging Tinging Plinking Plonking Boinging Tree' and so on
