It was either £50 or £80 from HMV when they had a website.

I know the prices are really high, which is why I'm glad I found that one and bought it when I did.

I think I might try to upgrade the Firmware on my player and see if that works I seem to remember having to upgrade my old player to watch 'The Godfather part II' but not sure I've ever upgraded my current machine. If that doesn't work, I might be smashing a few bloody mirrors myself

Over the last few years i have managed to get a couple of Toshiba bdx1200 and a Toshiba bdx3200 from ebay for around £35-40 each as the European models can be made multiregion for blu-ray and dvd by updating the firmware.

The trouble is now people have cracked onto this and sellers are being greedy as the players are now being sold for £100+ as they have updated the firmware which costs nothing to download from the internet.

I have a bdx3200 too. Made it region free and it works like a charm. I also have a Pioneer bdp-150. It also can be made region free. Even the code to change regions via the remote control is the same 8520. Try to find it folks if the prices are too high for Toshibas.

Don't a lot of blu discs contain firmware updates? I've put various discs into my player and they've loaded something.
