Yeah, there's a few people who love to slag em off on FB and other forums, mainly due to who they have doing the extras, but I've not had a problem with any of the films I've bought released by them

I agree completely, bar some of the picture quality issues that aren't entirely 88's fault they are putting out product that people want. Especially as Blue Underground don't seem too keen on upgrading alot of their Italian titles, which is partly tied to the picture quality issues and the Italian labs. Yes there has been a few problems with the Italian Collection - Anthro and it's magenta palette, Blade having magenta banding but they are working with what their given. Most of the Slasher Classics range has so far had fantastic audio / visual presentations so to me 88 are doing sterling work and delivering some real gems.

I dont care who does extras. I know that Callum Waddell isnt very well thought of but thats a none issue. I heard something about not sending an individual a disc after the said individual had provided and subtitled an interview for free. This strikes me as pretty bad by any standards. As for the quality of the discs well i suppose you get what you pay for in life. keirarts likes this. |
