I've never watched the cut version, however there was some discussion that the BBFC scissor-happy butchery actually disrupts the flow and the tone of the film due to them cutting out the animal violence but not any of the scenes around it making them jarring and nonsensical - the monkey scene was one that was mentioned. Unfortunately, if this is true, then it looks like this will be the case with the forthcoming release too.

Though i don't condone the animal cruelty, i'll always pick up the most complete version of a film if there is one available. Hopefully, Raro's will be region free as usual.

3 mins is a actually a BIG cut. That is a long time overall.
For me...it's cut, end of story. I wont be buying this release.

Yeah, as much as I want to support 88 & UK releases, it's a pass for me, as I'm sure it is for some others.

I'm keeping my pre-order if only to watch the film without having to wince/cringe/close my eyes when the animals are being butchered on screen and for the Me Me Lai documentary. She was dead against the monkey scene and left the set when it was being filmed.

I'm seeing talk that the documentary might not be on the disc now. If not, I don't really see why anyone would buy the disc. Sad, but true.

That would be a huge letdown because it's a fascinating documentary about a really interesting person and is a major selling point for the overall package. I hope it's not the case.

I hope they don't intend anymore Cannibal releases, such as Ferox or Eaten Alive. All these would still be drastically cut as well.

A little annoyed about Creepshow 2 as I pre ordered it direct when they put up that facebook post. It's due out monday so may as well like JHarker said saved £4 as we never got it sooner anyway. Not good tbh!

I won't be bothering with Man from Deep River either, not because of the cuts as I don't want to see animal violence anyway, but because I am not a fan of the actual film. I am also not hugely fussed about every number being present in a collection such as Italian Collection, however overall I am getting most titles released/announced in the Italian Collection as for the most part the line up is impressive.
