Yep, I saw that before it was released. Well, I checked just as I was about to buy it. Needless to say I cancelled my purchase. Cuba will be cut too i'm afraid. Every home release has been cut by 24 seconds for cockfigting.

But it's fine and dandy to watch them trip and fall, breaking legs and landing on jockeys in The Grand National and every other jump race live on TV.....?? The ever consistently unfathomable BBFCensors strikes again.

The BBFC are following the law: the Cinematograph Films (Animals) Act 1937. They can't do anything about the broadcasting of horseracing because that is not within their remit and is classed as sport, not a film. The two are not at all linked.

I am not saying this makes it right and that animals dying in the name of sport is okay (in my opinion it is not and should be banned), but that is the legal situation.

Not to rub salt into the wound Boo but I know for a fact that the BBFC is funded from the winnings of a horse racing syndicate.
